The DR-Z400 S / SM models were developed by refining the original E models to meet various regulatory and homologation standards. Unfortunately, this also diluted some of the raw, powerful character you’d expect from a 400cc thumper. Fortunately, with the right upgrades, you can restore that original performance without sacrificing reliability.

This kit provides everything you need to unlock more power from your Suzuki DR-Z400 S / SM engine.

By installing the camshafts from the DR-Z400 E models (included in this kit), you’ll experience a significant boost in low-end torque. Additionally, the thinner base gasket—also from the E models—adds extra power across the rev range, making the engine feel more responsive and lively, particularly under load.

This kit includes:

• Camshafts (IN & EX) -> DR-Z400 E parts equivalent to Stage 1 Hotcams
• Cylinder head gasket
• Cylinder base gasket (thin E variant) -> Raises compression from 12.2:1 to approximately 13.5:1
• Valve cover gasket (to replace the old one)
• Cam chain tensioner gasket

All parts in this kit are brand new, genuine OEM Suzuki components.
